There are many reasons to look forward to this Spring’s High Point Market. It is the largest furniture market on the globe, the epicentre of what is happening in the world of home furnishings, and – as it relates to today’s inspiration – the place where one can find pieces like this stunning “Chair Worth A Stare” from Saba at the Leif Petersen showroom.
This chair first caught my attention after the October market, and I’m dying to “meet in person.” The Italian-designed beauty carries a big-city name to measure up to its big-city style. The “New York” as it is called is full of “uptown attitude and a downtown spirit,” able to metamorphose and express a different side of its fashionable self with the simple flip of its reversible octagonal upholstery.
The varnished rod structure is available in multiple colours, showing off the simplicity of construction with a serious nod to mid-century modern design and an unabashed high-five to pop culture. The completely removable covers can also be customized, making this chair an open invitation to experience the joy of self expression.
