Tata Harper | Morning Ritual Part 2 | Rejuvenating Serum + Rebuilding Moisturizer

Good morning, ladies! On this drab and rainy Wednesday, I must admit I’m feeling wide awake. My morning routine does not fail to stimulate my senses and leave me feeling more alive, even on dreary days like today, and I have Tata Harper to thank for that!
You might think my raving about Tata Harper is hyperbole. You might think that no skincare line could be that good. But this is a real thing, girls. It really is that good.
In Part 1 of my Morning Ritual I shared with you the Refreshing Cleanser and the Hydrating Floral Essence. Today I’m dishing the details on my experience of the Rejuvenating Serum and the Rebuilding Moisturizer.
You may remember that in my frugality, I started with this product lineup just by using the cleanser and the moisturizer. My skin really was immediately happy and I may not have upgraded to the full line for awhile, but now that I have been given the opportunity to fill in the other pieces in the puzzle it’s going to be hard to go back.
Typically I expect a serum to be “too much” for my delicate and sensitive skin, so to layer that with a moisturizer would normally be overkill for me. The thing is, Tata Harper is far from typical. Where other products might just sit on the surface, my skin drinks in the natural goodness of Tata’s products with gratitude. If I had to give the serum one job title, I’d name it my collagen-plumper. Fine lines and dryness seem gently swept away as my skin absorbs this lightweight serum. It is not too rich, so my skin is actually a bit matte but totally silky after it’s gone on. It’s the perfect prep for the moisturizer without layering onto my skin unnecessarily.
Let’s not forget that all of the ingredients in Tata’s products are natural and organic and toxin-free. For someone who is doing everything she can to eliminate unnecessary load on my immune system, this means a lot to me. Here is the {delectable} list of the main active ingredients in the serum.
Next is the Rebuilding Moisturizer. Because I’ve got combination skin, moisturizers have been a tough one for me over the years. They’re either rich enough to address my dryness but leave my t-zone oily, or they’re totally mattifying but dry out my cheekbones and leave me looking a bit windburnt. I think it is the purity and targeted purpose of the ingredients in this moisturizer that must make the difference. After using it my skin looks balanced and has a healthy glow with no greasy zones to contend with. The amazing thing is that my skin seems to be improving over time the more I use it. And P.S., the smell is divine. No fragrances here, ladies! Just the natural aroma of an organic field of flowers.
You may notice by now that Hyaluronic Acid {aka Natural Sodium Hyaluronate} shows up in almost all of Tata’s products. Hyaluronic Acid is actually a component of our connective tissue which is why it does such a great job of helping the skin retain moisture and maintain a youthful glow. Tata’s Hyaluronic Acid – occurring from naturally-derived bacteria – is the highest quality available on the market.

You can purchase Tata’s products directly from their website, on Spirit Beauty Lounge, through Neiman Marcus or at a list of premiere spas throughout North America. Many thanks to Tata for creating these amazing products and allowing me the opportunity to share them with you! It’s wonderful to know that good health and beauty can in fact go hand-in-hand.

The Art of Collaboration: West Elm

I am a big believer in collaboration. I also love seeing large companies leveraging their platform to create opportunities for individual artisans. All of this added together meant that I was truly delighted to learn about West Elm‘s new South Africa collection.

Harnessing the creativity and cultural diversity of 16 different South African artisans, West Elm has launched a collection that reflects just a taste of the spectacular beauty and inspiration that is waiting to be found in this incredible country. Having spent time in South Africa back in 2009, I can tell you that it is a country filled with story, courage, beauty, redemption, remarkable people, incredible diversity, spectacular landscape and deeply inspiring and innovative creativity.

From woven-seat furniture clearly influenced by mid-century Danish design to bright, hand painted pottery reflective of the indigenous beadwork that South Africa has come to be known for, this collection is truly diverse.

If you love to travel but have not yet had the inspiring privilege of traveling to South Africa, I highly recommend adding it to your bucket list. In the meantime, here is a lovely video giving you just a taste of the landscape and natural inspiration South Africa has to offer (along with a further look at some of the artisans featured in West Elm’s collection).

Wishing you an inspired Monday!
